It is with a sense of love and of my duty to my fellowmen...

It is with a sense of love and of my duty to my fellowmen to spread the truth of the healing power of Christian Science, as proved to me, that I write this testimony; also, in the hope that it may help others as I have been helped and encouraged many times.

Many material ailments, such as heart and artery disease, lumbago, a severely sprained back, and other discordant conditions, have been overcome, together with a multitude of such mental errors as hatred, hasty and ill temper, worry, judging, condemning, and so on. All this has been brought about with the loving help of Christian Science practitioners and my own diligent study of the Bible in connection with "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" and the other writings of Mrs. Eddy. For more than four years the truth as revealed in Christian Science has been my only remedy for every ill. It has been a seemingly hard struggle. Some of the erroneous beliefs in disease have been hard to eradicate, but they are being gradually destroyed. In this prolonged struggle I have learned to exercise patience, and persistently to hold on to the truth of being, remembering the encouraging words of Paul, "We shall reap, if we faint not." I am grateful to the practitioners who have helped me in many a dark hour, particularly in attacks of extreme fear and choking spells, when it seemed as if the last enemy were present.

For the spiritual understanding I have gained, with its glimpse of the infinite possibilities of divine Science, I am very grateful; and it is my constant prayer that I may express this understanding in my daily life. My appreciation of the Journal, Sentinel, and Monitor is great indeed, as they are of inestimable help and encouragement on the journey from sense to Soul. I would not be without these messengers of Truth at any price; and their monthly, weekly, and daily arrivals are eagerly awaited. No words of mine can adequately express my gratitude to God for leading me into Christian Science; to Jesus the Christ, our Way-shower; and to God's messenger to this age, Mary Baker Eddy.
