It is with a heart overflowing with gratitude that I should like to let my small tributary of thankfulness merge into the great stream of love which is continually flowing through the Christian Science periodicals.

The physical help which has been obtained through studying the Bible in conjunction with the works of our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, is as naught when compared with the immense spiritual uplift which this happy study has brought into my life. Nevertheless, sick and sorrowful mortals can and do appreciate the healing of discordant physical conditions; and in the hope that this testimony may be of help to some dear seeker for the truth, the knowledge of which the master Metaphysician plainly stated would make us free, I wish to write of one or two experiences.

Quite recently I found it necessary to pay many visits, extending over a period of four weeks, to a dental surgeon. Two teeth were extracted, the first tooth coming out in three, and the second in two portions. The latter was rather a problem to the dentist, as it had broken off level with the gum several years previously. Seven teeth were filed down and filled, and also so-called nerves were taken out. Although throughout the whole of these operations neither an anæsthetic, either local or general, nor any anodyne was used, not the least bit of pain was felt. Owing to a Christian Science practitioner's faithful, loving work, I was able to smile all the way through: and, moreover, the usual course of my daily life was not interfered with in the slightest degree.
