I began the study of Christian Science from the standpoint of a religion, after attending a lecture on Christian Science with some friends. After a few weeks' study I realized one day that I had not been using my glasses for some time, and I found that I had been healed of granulated eyelids and weak eyes, for which I had been treated by an eye specialist nearly three years. He had told me that my eyes would become worse as I grew older, and that I should have to wear glasses constantly. This healing occurred about seven years ago. I have not used glasses since, and there has been no return of the old trouble. Later, I was healed of appendicitis and smallpox. I have enjoyed constant protection since I have been interested in Christian Science. As one of our loved hymns has it,—

"Year by year, Thy hand hath brought us
On through dangers oft unknown."
