Mary Baker Eddy, inspired by God, discovered the Science of being and named her discovery Christian Science. Her church being founded on Truth is the religion of Love, which is healing the sick, comforting the sorrowing, reforming the sinner. Christian Science proves by works that it is the religion Jesus taught and demonstrated. The Master emphasized the fact that signs of healing follow the understanding of the Principle he practiced; and so to-day Christian Science repeats his words: "If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works." Jesus' arraignment of all evil contained in his statement, "Get thee behind me, Satan," establishes a precedent that every professed Christian should follow in word and deed.
