Virginian-Pilot
Any person sufficiently interested in this subject to investigate it has ample opportunity to learn for himself, from first-hand knowledge, that there is nothing ridiculous in the claim that Christian Science heals both effectively and permanently. The Christian Science movement has not reached its peak and passed into a period of decline. On the contrary, the movement was never so firmly established as it is to-day; and its beneficent influence, healing all manner of discord and disease, has never been so universally felt. Furthermore, Christian Science healing is not accomplished through mental suggestion, nor has it lost a single one of its primary qualifications; for, as Mrs. Eddy has stated on page xi of the Preface of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures": "The physical healing of Christian Science results now, as in Jesus' time, from the operation of divine Principle, before which sin and disease lose their reality in human consciousness and disappear as naturally and as necessarily as darkness gives place to light and sin to reformation."
