Toronto, Ontario, Canada (joint lecture).—The following remarks were made by James Wilkinson Fulton when introducing Algernon Hervey Bathurst, a Christian Science lecturer, to his audience:—

The first awakening of the thought in our family to the realization that there is a power divine, outside of and superior to matter, that heals when all else fails, was a complete and rapid recovery from cancer after the surgeons had exhausted their skill and pronounced the case incurable. Since that time we have had ample opportunity of proving the ever present availability of God in all times of trouble; and heart disease that was declared incurable has been completely healed; also sciatica of over twenty years' standing. Now this is not an isolated case; for there are thousands upon thousands of individuals the world over who rely on nothing but Christian Science to meet their every need; and they are, without a doubt, the healthiest, freest, and happiest group of individuals in the world.

Now this peace is desired by every one—a peace of mind and body—peace in one's relationship with his family, his friends, and in his business. This desire for peace is but one of the first fruits appearing in the consciousness through the operation of God's law, which eventually will lead the individual into a complete realization of freedom and dominion.
