I have long wished to share the blessings I have received through the study of Christian Science, hoping it may give a mite of strength to another. First came the healing of constipation of nine years' duration, through the reading of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. This convinced me there must be truth in Christian Science, although I had only heard it ridiculed before. Yet it was long before I loved to read the Bible, and it was only when compelled to study the Lesson-Sermons for the healing of constipation for our baby that I received help and joy out of the Bible. Now it is my greatest comfort; for it is invaluable in caring for three small children, as I have found no help so quick and sure as God. The Bible tells us, "Before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear." Through the quick and sure healings with the children, my husband has seen the truth of the teachings of Christian Science, and so again believes in the truth of the Bible. Before this he had called himself an infidel.

One of the physical healings I prize most is the painless birth of our little girl. Never before did I realize the truth of the "scientific statement of being," as given in Science and Health on page 468, so clearly as in those few moments before the birth. This lifted me so far above materiality that I had no consciousness of the existence of matter, and the birth was as if it were not. I am so thankful that the least healing is a powerful proof that God is; for this is the great need,—to know that God is "our refuge and strength."

To Mrs. Eddy we can prove our gratitude only by proving in our daily lives the truth of what she taught, through casting out all error and healing the sick.
