In commenting upon the action of the Health Commissioner...

In commenting upon the action of the Health Commissioner of New York City for endeavoring to stamp out those who were classed as "quacks and other illegal practitioners of medicine," the writer of an article which appeared in the Baltimore American a few days ago seems to have given credit where the same is not due.

The Commissioner made the statement that Christian Scientists were "inadvertently" included in the bulletin issued; that orders for correction of the error would be given out at once; and that some of his subordinates would have to do some "tall explaining."

Our critic appears to be willing to have Christian Scientists classed with other Christian denominations; he cites the Constitution of the United states as giving one the right to "worship God in any way he sees fit," but he makes the assertion that a Christian Science practitioner "abandons his religious immunity when he practices medicine."
