I feel privileged to express my profound gratitude to God for the many wonderful blessings I have received in Christian Science. The greatest demonstration of God's protecting power I have had was when I escaped uninjured when a building elevator, in which I was at the time, fell from the ninth floor to the basement. On another occasion, while crossing Fifth Avenue, I was knocked down, severely injured, and rendered unconscious by a taxicab. On regaining consciousness I declared the truth, and after a period of two weeks was fully recovered. Through Christian Science my wife has been healed of a very severe form of stomach trouble; also attacks of quinsy have been quickly overcome.

I deeply appreciate all these proofs of divine Love's power; but it is for the better understanding of God, as divine Principle, the one infinite Mind, that I am most grateful. I am slowly learning to be more patient and loving to all. I am sincerely thankful to Christ Jesus, the Wayshower; thankful to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, the author of our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures;" and sincerely grateful to the loving and devoted practitioner who has assisted me indefatigably and continually when necessary.
