Because I have enjoyed reading of the many beautiful...
Because I have enjoyed reading of the many beautiful healings of others in our periodicals, I wish to express my gratitude and thanks for the healing and reformation that have come to me through Christian Science. When I began to study Christian Science it was not for physical relief. I can, however, gladly say that before I realized it, my entire outlook upon life was changed; and I was surely dwelling "in the secret place of the most High." However, there came a time when I found myself asleep again, or, in other words, neglecting my study. I sought the aid of several physicians, with no relief whatever. Finally, I was placed in a position where I had to prove, with the aid of a loving practitioner, that Christian Science does heal. After taking a firm stand for Christian Science and pursuing its study in a serious and orderly manner, I was healed of Spanish influenze, nervous trouble, colds, and many other illnesses. This purification required constant study, with the result that I gained an understanding of God which I would not exchange for anything.
Each and every one in our home to-day is enjoying the blessings and inspiration which come through Christian Science. My gratitude to God, to Christ Jesus, and to Mrs. Eddy, for the peace and happiness that I have experienced, can be expressed only in striving to live more of this truth each moment.
Nathaniel Harrold Blythe, Stockton, Calif.
