Letters from the Field

[Extract from a letter to a Christian Science lecturer]

I have just read in a large Berlin daily paper (Vossische Zeitung) a long treatise on Christian Science. The author is one of the editors, who, as well as his colleagues of the other daily papers, formerly criticized our Cause as unfavorably as possible. Your lecture, which he studied carefully before publishing, surely induced him to a higher valuation of Christian Science. He was provided in the Reading Room with Christian Science literature; and after unprejudiced examination wrote an entirely impartial critique. I hope a breach has been made in the hard armor of public opinion. The following is a part of the treatise referred to.
