Letters from the Field

"I feel such a profound sense of gratitude for the privilege of spending two weeks at the Christian Science Sanatorium that I think it may please you to know about it. The purpose of my request for admission was to be free from the practice for a short period and to devote some time to self-examination and study. I am very happy to say that I accomplished more than I expected to. The mental atmosphere was heavenly, for I recognized the manifestation of the attributes of God, as defined by our Leader, expressed by the associates and guests. I learned quite a few helpful lessons through observation; the unfoldment of Truth which came to me was very gratifying; and I know that I am better fitted to continue in the healing work, and more awake to my duty in giving my mental support to this branch of activity of The Mother Church, so lovingly and wisely proposed by our beloved Leader. The improvement of health in a number of guests was quite perceptible; and joy and happiness were expressed by all.

"The Sunday service and Wednesday evening meeting which I attended were very inspiring. Professor Hering's lecture, too, contained its healing message for all, and was especially helpful to me in emphasizing the necessity of a more general use of the Concordances to Mrs. Eddy's writings in the healing work. I immediately looked up all the references to the word 'self' and its compound words in both Concordances; and after two days' study along that line a new light dawned upon my consciousness and the truth it revealed continues to unfold.

"I am very grateful to all the workers who are giving the Sanatorium their loyal support; and feel assured that divine Love crowns every right effort with success.
