I wish to express my gratitude for all the blessings which Christian Science has brought to me. I was given up by several doctors, and according to medical thought it was impossible that I should live longer than a few days. My heart was said to be too weak to do its work, and my whole body was in a state of infection. Christian Science treatment was asked for, and in a fortnight I was healed. During the seventeen years that have passed since then, I have been a strong, active woman, working for the Cause of Christian Science.

During my stay in America I saw, heard, and learned much, and came to the conclusion that obedience to the law of God and to the Church Manual is of great value. I saw how great a pleasure it is to obey, and thus to try to reach perfection. I was struck by the loving-kindness everywhere. More than ever before my heart overflows with gratitude for that noble, illustrious woman, Mary Baker Eddy, who had the courage to give to the world the wonderful Science of which so many thousands are enjoying the influence.—(Mrs.) Jacoba M. von Overveldt, The Hague, Holland.
