DEAR Love divine, help me live to-day,
From start to close,
In just the kindly way
Which friendship knows.
Help me be thoughtful, too,
And generous here,
Keeping in all I do
My own reflection clear.

Dear Love divine, help me live to-day
From malice free;
Help me in work or play
Unselfish be.
Let no one find me proud
Or harsh or cold,
Too silent, or too loud,
Afraid, or overbold.

Dear Love divine, help me reflect to-day
Friendship to all
Who chance along my way,
Though great or small.
And when at last the sun,
Now rising high, shall set,
Let then in all I've done,
Thy good be manifest.
