Communion

"And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear."—ISAIAH 65:24.

THOUGH loud and long thy prayer may be,
It reaches not His ear
If lacking love and honesty,
Or clamped by doubt and fear.

But let the faintest, smallest call
Spring from a humble heart,—
It is already heard on high:
'T is of Himself a part.
