In 1911 I proved for myself the truth of Mrs. Eddy's...

In 1911 I proved for myself the truth of Mrs. Eddy's discovery about God, man, and the spiritual universe. I found that God is All, and that there is none besides Him; I discovered I had been carrying fictitious burdens, worrying about problems already solved, and trying to help omnipotence to do work for myself and others which He had finished at the beginning, and pronounced "very good." I have learned that God is infinite, unchanging Love, and that He never made anything unlike Himself; that sin, disease, and death are false material beliefs only; that the universe including man is spiritual, and our Father-Mother God governs it. I have discovered that one may be a clergyman, as I had been, and preach for many years, yet not know the fundamentals of the Christian religion; that he may proclaim salvation from sin by the help of God, and leave men to cope with the problems of life alone. Nicodemus-like, I tried to occupy the place of a master or teacher in Israel, but did not know the truth which would qualify me for successful service in that exalted position.

Through the application of the teachings of Christian Science I have been healed of many ailments, such as headache, throat trouble attended with severe coughs lasting for many years, attacks of rheumatism, and many minor difficulties. These have all gradually disappeared without the assistance of a practitioner. To me the spiritual uplift since the beginning of my study of Christian Science has been wonderful, proving the power of ever present Love to bless us under all the conditions of life.

Christian Science has been a present help in troubles of every sort, and its protecting and prophylactic service has been very evident in myself and my family. It is an all-round panacea for all the ills "that flesh is heir to." In the course of my work I have witnessed many remarkable healings, and am convinced that no discord of any kind can stand before the truth as taught and practiced in Christian Science.
