It has been clearly shown that pantheism has nothing in common with Christian Science. The two systems are absolutely opposed to each other, and the continued repetition by our reverend critic of the statement that they are the same will never make them so.
Christian Science affirms one supreme, infinite God. Neither directly nor by implication does it affirm otherwise; yet a critic asserts that it is "atheistic;" that it denies the existence of God. That assertion has no more foundation than all other misleading statements which have from time to time been made concerning Christian Science. Atheists do not accept the Bible as their authority and guide in all matters pertaining to existence as do Christian Scientists.
There is no justification for the statement that Christian Science is "agnostic." Christian Science contradicts agnosticism at every point, teaching that a knowledge or an understanding of God is attainable as the "carnal mind" or the "old man" is put off.
