Prof. William Bateson, world famous English biologist, to-night threw a bombshell into the convention of the American Association for the Advancement of Science by declaring that it was impossible for scientists any longer to agree with Charles Darwin's theory of the origin of species. He declared that while forty years ago the Darwinian theory was accepted without question, to-day scientists had come to a point where they were unable to offer any explanation of the genesis of species.
