About twelve years ago, when in a very wretched condition of health and suffering from chronic indigestion and sleeplessness, I heard from a friend about Christian Science. My friend told me of the benefits she had received, the healing of various complaints, and also of the hope and comfort brought into her life through the study of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Previous to this time I had carefully carried out medical instructions but received no lasting beneficial results. I was, therefore, glad to turn to Christian Science in hope of finding alleviation from physical suffering and weariness. I procured a copy of Science and Health and began to study this wonderful book. My health improved at once and I was able to give up taking medicines and tonics. Help from a practitioner was of the greatest value to me at this time, for which I will always be so grateful.

Physical relief is much to be grateful for; but to know that healing in Christian Science comes through the destruction of false beliefs, and the purification of thought by understanding more of God and man in the image and likeness of God, is cause for greater joy. My thankfulness goes out to God, who is ever present Love, to Christ Jesus the Way-shower, and to Mary Baker Eddy, who, true to the heavenly vision vouchsafed her, became the apostle of Truth to this age, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science.
