My earliest recollection was of feeling very ill; and I was led in the autumn of 1897 to place myself under Christian Science treatment. Since then, I have had wonderful demonstrations, for which I am grateful; and even at this late hour, feel impelled to tell of them.

I had a spinal trouble, stomach disorders, a cancerous left lung, Bright's disease in the last stage, biliousness, and other difficulties. Really, mine seemed a multiplicity of disorders. Once I went about eight months without a normal action of the bowels, and would go a whole month without any at all. This was a hard trial for me; but with the help of an experienced Christian Science practitioner, we proved the great truth that "man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."

Since then, I have had other ills as severe, but without so much fear; and to-day, although there still seems more for me to do, I am stronger and in better health than ever before. These healings make one very grateful for this revealed Science, and for Mrs. Eddy, whom we all have learned to love so much.—(Miss) Maud Hefner, Weimar, Texas.
