In gratitude to God and to Mrs. Eddy, I desire to submit...
In gratitude to God and to Mrs. Eddy, I desire to submit a testimony of a physical healing which I experienced in 1920. When the influenza was raging, I was smitten very suddenly with this disease and pneumonia. I was in a critical condition; and the fever ran so high, I was not myself at times; but I relied entirely on Christian Science, and with the help of loving practitioners I came out victorious. I feel very grateful for this healing, for it certainly was a proof of God's power.
I have two little girls, eight and five years of age, who never took a dose of medicine, and are now well and happy all the time. The one five years old was healed of malformation: one side did not fill out and grow, and her head lay on one side. I had treatment from a Christian Science practitioner; and she was healed in a few days. This same child had a pet cat; and one day while it was asleep in the yard, a car was driven through and ran over it, about the middle of its body. I thought it was killed; but the child ran and picked it up, and began to declare the truth for it. She certainly was in earnest, and worked for some time. All day it would not move; but on the third day no one could have told that it had been hurt. It was running and playing everywhere.
Christian Science has proved to be an ever present help, not only in the healing of physical ailments, but in daily life; for all of which I am indeed grateful to God and to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
