With a joyful heart and with deepest thanks to God I wish...

With a joyful heart and with deepest thanks to God I wish to give my testimony of the many blessings and wonderful healing which I have had through the knowledge of the teachings of Christian Science. About eight years ago I heard of this beautiful teaching for the first time. It would take up too much space were I to tell of all the blessings received since then. I wish, however, to relate a healing received lately and in doing so hope to encourage others to put implicit faith in the almighty God, for He is certainly always willing and ready to meet our every need and help us in all our infirmities.

In October, 1918, I was called to a neighbor's home where all the members of the family, nine in all, were lying in bed with the grippe. For ten days I helped nurse these people, and helped with the household duties of a large farm. I worked days and kept watch the whole night through without experiencing the slightest fatigue, for I knew that God works in me "both to will and to do." In the meantime, however, my dear mother, seventy-three years of age, became ill, so that I was obliged to remain at home. During the following night I, too, was stricken with a heavy fever, an infection of the throat, and inflammation of the eyes. I trusted in the all-power of God, and in spite of severe chills arose in the morning and attended to the necessary household duties. These troubles were accompanied by severe catarrh and bronchitis. I was able to overcome all these errors without applying a single material remedy, only by trusting in divine help, the great Physician, who is omnipresent. In a very short time I had completely recovered and felt well and refreshed. My dear mother also completely recovered in a short time.

How grateful we are to the all-loving, divine Father for this truth which overcomes all ills! We also, in love and gratitude, thank our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy. It is our greatest desire to learn more and more of this beautiful teaching and to apply it in our daily life, and to help others as we have been helped.—(Mrs.) Rosa Thorimbert-Dick, Rudswil-Ersigen, Switzerland.
