I want to add my testimony to the many I have read, hoping it may help some one who is seeking the truth. I had chronic appendicitis for ten years and became so much worse in the fall of 1918 that I could eat very little, and the doctors said nothing but a diet of fruit juice and an operation would help me, and that then I would not be well. My father died of consumption of the stomach and bowels. I imagined I had to have the same, but thanks to Mrs. Eddy for explaining the Scriptures to us in a way I had never heard before,—that God is just as able to heal us of our diseases and fear of disease as to forgive our sins,—after four days and nights of study and prayer I got up the fifth morning perfectly well. That was in October, 1918, since which time I have eaten anything and everything I want, have never had a return of the condition in any way and have gained twenty pounds. I am grateful beyond words; my greatest desire is so to live that my light may shine and that others seeing it may be constrained to glorify our Father in heaven.—(Mrs.) Belle Thompson, Lawrenceville, Ill.
