It is with love in my heart and a desire to heal and bless that I give this testimony. I was healed of ulceration of the stomach, nervous debility, constipation, and weak eyes, after having five weeks' treatment in Christian Science. These conditions had existed for six years, keeping me in a state of invalidism so serious that I could walk only a couple of blocks occasionally, and then again for months at a time would be confined to my bed; also it was necessary for me to be carried upstairs. During all this time I was on various diets, also had two operations, the last one being very serious. After this operation the surgeon told my mother that it would be two years before I would even commence to feel well. Three months after this operation I was in a worse condition than ever, so when a friend spoke to me of Christian Science, we agreed to try it, although I understood nothing about it. Then in five short weeks I was well, ate anything, did anything, and experienced the most wonderful joy at the freedom from worry and dread of suffering. Since then I have continued in good health and have not resorted to medical treatment these past three years and six months.

Previous to my healing I had not attended church since childhood days and was greatly opposed to any religious theory, but now that I truly understand what God is, that feeling has vanished. Gradually the study of the Bible and the Christian Science textbook is helping me in the overcoming of fear, worry, impatience, and the deadliest of all sins, selfishness.

Besides my own healing, I have seen my mother healed of constipation of seventeen years' standing; my little niece also was cured of dysentery in one treatment. How glad I am that this way is given me for showing my gratitude to God and to Mary Baker Eddy.
