Many blessings have come into my life through the understanding of God as taught in Christian Science. One of the physical difficulties overcome was an ulcerated sore throat, with which I suffered for some years before taking up the study of Christian Science. This manifestation completely disappeared in the light of a clearer knowledge of God and of man in God's image and likeness, as shown in Science and Health, which is indeed a "Key to the Scriptures."

I wish also to express my gratitude for and appreciation of our international daily newspaper, The Christian Science Monitor, which since its inception has done so much to heal the thought of the world, lifting up a standard for the people in every branch—news, editorial, advertising. The efficacy and healing of its advertising has been wonderfully proved in my experience. When leaving business college, the problem of seeking a situation arose, and I turned to the Monitor, expressing my need through its advertising columns. My obedience in turning to this channel our Leader provided was abundantly rewarded. Through yielding to the requirement in Malachi 3:10, God's promise therein was fulfilled: "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it."
