It was in the year 1914 that I took up the study of Christian Science for physical healing. In one treatment I was healed of bronchial asthma on account of which I had gone west, but had experienced only temporary relief. I had had the grippe five times, which left me in a condition of general breakdown. Not only asthma, but lumbago and rheumatism of long standing also left after several treatments, and the reading of Science and Health and other writings of Mrs. Eddy, together with the Lessons in the Quarterly. Errors too numerous to mention have dropped off one by one, including a disagreeable skin disease which the doctors called eczema. An abnormal growth that seemed to start from a wart and grew to be as large as the end of my thumb dissolved into its native nothingness, for which I cannot find words to express my thankfulness. I am also grateful for the spiritual benefits received, and am so thankful that Mrs. Eddy was faithful to the great truth that God revealed to her, and that she built so firmly on the rock, Christ, which nothing can overthrow. I just want so to live this truth that my life may prove my sincerity.
(Mrs.) Mary S. Borton, Wheeler, Mich.
