I should like to express my gratitude for all the blessings...

I should like to express my gratitude for all the blessings that have come into my life through Christian Science. I have had many proofs during the last three and one-half years of the efficacy of Christian Science to heal both mentally and physically. That our every need is met even before we know we have the need, I proved not long ago, as the following incident will show. A short time ago a practitioner was chatting with my oldest boy and me when the subject of accidents was introduced. Very clearly and very lovingly the practitioner explained to my son that there are no accidents in Mind, and as the explanation proceeded I seemed to get a wonderfully clear glimpse of that fact. The proof that I had done so came later, for soon afterwards I was going down some awkward steps and slipped. Somehow I got jammed between the steps and the wall. I felt that I was badly hurt and called to my boys to know the truth! The elder one came to my help and I got to an armchair with an effort, as every movement was agony. He also got me "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." I read one sentence and fainted. As I came to, the sentence I had heard that morning came to me again, and at that moment my hip, which was evidently dislocated, gently slipped back into its place. With the realization of this the most wonderful sense of peace came over me. I sat reading for a little while, then I got up and walked out of the room very much better except for an enormous bruise. The hip turned black and blue, but even that disappeared within two or three days.

The spiritual uplift one gets after a manifestation of the divine power such as this is wonderful, and one feels as if one could remove mountains if necessary. I am very thankful to God for His ever present help and to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for discovering this great truth. I am grateful, too, for the Sunday school where the children are taught to conquer their fears and to know that they have an ever present help in time of need.
