I am very grateful for all that Christian Science has done for me. I had been delicate all my life, and was supposed to have inherited many ills, the worst of which was rheumatism. Once when I was suffering from a severe attack my sister persuaded me to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. I read without much interest until I reached the chapter, "Footsteps of Truth" where I read, "There is no power apart from God. Omnipotence has all-power, and to acknowledge any other power is to dishonor God" (Science and Health, p. 228). I stopped reading and asked myself what power held me in bed; if God had all power then there was no room for a power called sickness. This truth was so clear to me that I was instantly healed and have been free for fifteen years.

In the years since that first healing I have many times had the joy of proving that seeming trials are only fresh opportunities for proving God's allness. This testimony would not be complete without expressing my sincere appreciation of the Christian Science periodicals, none of which I could afford to be without.
