About nine years ago one of my classmates at college called Christian Science to my attention. Up to that time I had been a chronic sufferer from nasal and throat catarrh, bowel trouble, and granulated eyelids, the catarrh being of fifteen years' standing and supposedly inherited. I took medicine continually. My healing was slow but complete. For over eight years my health has been splendid and no medicine or other material remedies have been used.

For the past seven months I have been flying almost every day, and I am very grateful for the divine protection which we learn, through the study of Christian Science, is ever present. On one occasion a new student crashed into my ship, completely wrecking it and breaking the fuselage (body) in two, just a few inches back of where I was sitting. My escape was considered miraculous by several who saw it. In less than ten minutes I was able to proceed with the morning's work, in another ship, the only evidence of the experience being a small tear in my flying coat.
