I desire to express through our periodicals my thankfulness to God and gratitude to our dear Leader for many healings through Christian Science. For years I had been troubled with a bowel disorder and had been taking medicine continually with only temporary relief. I also had hemorrhoids, rheumatism, and heart disease; and my eyes troubled me so that I could only read a few minutes at a time. Tobacco had been used habitually for over twenty-two years, and liquor more or less. I also had a very disagreeable temper. All these diseases and faults have been completely overcome through my study of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. What more positive proof need one wish that this wonderful book proclaims the Comforter which has come as promised by Christ Jesus, our Master?

For all these healings I am indeed truly grateful, but my greatest joy is in the spiritual uplift which I have experienced. One of the many blessings received since becoming interested in Christian Science was my admission to membership in The Mother Church in 1917. I am also thankful to those loving Christian Scientists who have so kindly helped me along the way. My desire is always to be loving, obedient, and guided by divine wisdom that I may reflect more of that Mind "which was also in Christ Jesus."
