While crossing a street one day I was knocked down by an automobile. One of the front wheels passed over my body right at the heart, but although the pain was very severe I did not entirely lose consciousness and was able to tell the driver my address. The owner of the automobile drove me at once to my home, and while lying on a couch I heard arrangements being made to send for a doctor. As best I could I made known my desire to have a Christian Science practitioner, and my wish was complied with. That night the suffering seemed almost unendurable, but by morning I was resting more easily, and from that time on the healing was very rapid, much to the amazement of several who had witnessed the accident and of many of my friends. For this demonstration of what Christian Science can do I am indeed very grateful.
(Miss) Amelia Kessel, Chicago, III.
I can testify as to the truth of the wonderful healing of my aunt. Half an hour after the accident I reached her home, where she lay groaning in great pain. The practitioner arrived a short time later. I saw my aunt almost daily for a week after that, and her recovery was very rapid, surprising many of her friends who knew nothing of the workings of Christian Science. I myself have been able to overcome some minor ailments through Christian Science, and several other members of my immediate family have experienced remarkable healings, for all of which I am very grateful.—(Mrs.) Edna A. Ness.
