The Lectures

Arlington, Mass. (auspices Cambridge).—Judge Samuel W. Greene, lecturer; introduced by Giles M. Smith, who said in part:—

Many centuries ago in that region which has since been called the Holy Land, one dear to us all taught the world vital Christianity and proved his teaching by his works. Jesus the Christ foresaw the effect his teaching and practice would have on a material world in the ages which were to follow. In the gospel of Luke he describes these conditions and adds, "When these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."

The spirit of Truth which he promised would abide with us forever is here. We understand this Comforter is Christian Science. Out of the doubts and fears and ills of the material world men are lifting up their and looking up to Christian Science and finding that their redemption, the healing of their doubts and fears and ills, is nigh and is, in fact, taking place.—Arlington Advocate.
