I have decided to send in my testimony, hoping it will encourage some one. I took up the study of Christian Science at the age of seventy-nine years and have not tasted medicine from that day to this. I was healed of a malignant growth through Christian Science and have been healed of pneumonia by absent treatment. My son sent a doctor to see me as he did not believe in Christian Science, but this was done in spite of my protest. The doctor after examining me said I had been a very sick woman, but was out of danger. He prescribed for me and had the medicine sent to me, but I never tasted it. I am very thankful for all that Christian Science has done for me in the way of healing, but more thankful for the spiritual uplift, as I was never satisfied with my religion. There was always a doubt that seemed to hold me, until in Christian Science I learned of God as Love, then all doubt was cast out. I wish to express my profound thanks for what Science has done for me, also my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for discovering and sending to all nations this new-old religion preached and practiced by Christ Jesus, the truth that sets the captive free physically, morally, and spiritually.
(Mrs.) Mary Ann Johnson, New Madrid, Mo.
