[Written for the Sentinel]

Father, I Thank Thee

I Thank Thee, Father, that I know the constancy
Of Love divine,
That Life and Truth and Love unchanging are,
And all are mine.
It is my joy to know Thy promises are sure.
Infinite Love my shelter is, which doth endure;
My home the secret place of the Most High,
My shelter 'neath the shadow of Thy wing;
The angels of Thy presence my companions are,
Small wonder that my heart doth leap and sing.
And in the quiet hour of eventide,
Thy peace in wondrous beauty fills my soul;
Father, I thank Thee that I am Thy child,
And that in Thee I am indeed made whole.
