Extracts from Letters

"I just wish to express my profound gratitude for Christian Science. It has been such a comfort to me all through my year's service with the American Red Cross. Have gone through dangerous places, times without number, but have never once been touched.

"I have attended Christian Science services in four foreign countries, and recently met some American music students at the Sunday service. We were so happy to worship together."

"Am writing you these few lines by way of expressing my gratitude for the help of the War Relief committee in opening the reading rooms throughout France. About a year ago I sailed for France. I was then in total ignorance of Christian Science and suffering from innumerable physical and mental ailments which helped to make me miserable and dissatisfied with my lot. My going to France brought both my parents into Science, and in my first letter from home my mother suggested that I look into this teaching, as it had done much for them since my departure. Upon receiving this letter I became desirous of studying Christian Science, but had no idea where or how I could procure help or literature. The following day I passed these rooms, which had just been opened. My very entering Science seemed to be a demonstration in itself. I have been earnestly studying the truth now for about eleven months, and during that period have continually felt the power of Love, as I have received many healings physically, mentally, and mortally.
