A little over five years ago I became interested in Christian Science through a friend, who was having treatment for his eyes. Shortly afterwards it was taken up in our home for a brother who had a nervous trouble for which the doctor could do nothing, and he was healed. Another brother had been under medical treatment a couple of years for tubercular disease. He had recovered somewhat, but had been told the trouble would return unless he went West. After studying Christian Science a short time he became strong and healthy.

My mother and I have had many demonstrations of Truth's power. Last winter I had a severe attack of throat trouble. I had treatment from a practitioner and began to improve, but the condition of the throat kept me from swallowing, so that I could take very little food. I was, however, able to go by train to my sister's home so as to be nearer a practitioner. At that time the physical conditions seemed very serious, but each day I gained in some way. Different parts of the body were affected during the time, including the eyes, and a form of paralysis extended to my hands and feet. This experience, however, compelled me to study faithfully to learn more of God, divine Truth and Love. The discordant conditions left gradually until I was strong and well. I am now enjoying the best of health. The healing was accomplished in about four months.

It is my sincere desire that this testimony may help others who think their healing slow. If we just hold fast to the truth it will deliver us. The spiritual uplift is the greatest blessing of all. We, as Christian Scientists, have so much to be thankful for every day. I thank God for everything that helps us to grow into the realization of our true selfhood.
