It is with a heart full of gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me that I write this testimony. It came into my life nine years ago, at a time when I was thoroughly discouraged, unhappy, and sick. Since childhood I had been afflicted with catarrh. I had changed climates twice and had undergone two operations on my nose and throat, all to no avail. Life had become such a burden that I wonderful why I could not die and not be obliged to go on fighting for every breath I drew.

At this stage Christian Science found me and treatments were begun. I became worse, if possible; then slowly gained; and when better, straightway forgot all about Christian Science. About that time I changed my manner of living from hotels to apartments, and so thought my good health due to better food and air. Two years later, however, when all material conditions were reversed and I was often for days at a time subjected to cold and dampness, and yet no return of catarrhal conditions, I was indeed greatly amazed. Then I began to wonder if Christian Science had anything to do with my being well. So I turned again to "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. I had never understood it before, but this time I could not let it alone. I read every spare minute I could get. There was no doubt; Christian Science had healed me. In the last seven years I have had many, many proofs of Truth's healing power. Whereas I was despondent and given to melancholy, I have a peace and joy which passes understanding. My work had become unbearable; but now I delight in it.

I have had the great privilege of class instruction and am happy in serving as teacher in Sunday school.
