I had been a sufferer from liver complaint and stomach trouble about forty years, and for about forty years subsisted mostly on light food, as heavy food distressed me. At times the pain was so severe that I could hardly endure it. I tried nearly everything that was recommended, but received only temporary relief. I was a physical wreck, suffering from rheumatism, palpitation of the heart, stomach trouble, and jaundice. The doctors did not give any encouragement, and finally I decided to try Christian Science as a last resort.

Before this time I had taken medicine every night, but did not when the practitioner gave me a treatment, and to my surprise I rested finely that night and the condition of the bowels became normal. The next morning I ate a hearty breakfast, and ever since have eaten anything I wanted. I am well and have regained my usual weight. The healing took place in May, 1913. I read Science and Health daily and know if it had not been for Christian Science, I would not be here to-day. I am regularly at work every day. Words can hardly express my gratitude for and appreciation of what Christian Science is doing for me in keeping me from harm. While crossing the street one day I was run over by an automobile without being hurt the least bit. It is according to the teaching of God's Word that He will give His angels charge over us to keep us in all our ways.

It is such a source of comfort to know that God's power is the same to-day as in the time of our Master. I am grateful to Mrs. Eddy for again bringing to us an understanding of the Christ healing. I expect to continue in the study of the Bible and Science and Health, and hope to be able to demonstrate the great power of Truth in order to be of some use to suffering humanity.—J. C.
