On page 3 of our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures"...

On page 3 of our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, we are told that "gratitude is much more than a verbal expression of thanks." I am more than grateful for this statement, for it is only as I reflect God, good, in my daily life that I can attempt to show this gratitude. For five years I have been a student of this beautiful teaching, and during this time I have had many physical healings. Physicans had said I could never be well until I underwent an operation, so at last I asked for help in Christian Science. In one treatment the trouble disappeared and there has never been a return of it. Two weeks after beginning to read the textbook I laid aside glasses, after wearing them since the age of twelve. Bowel disorder which had become chronic has been overcome. I have also been healed of broken or fallen arches and of nervousness of years' standing.

I am grateful for these healings, but especially for the spiritual regeneration. In the past year there have been many hills to climb, but there has been power given of God to surmount each one. Great is my debt of gratitude to God for having given us Mrs. Eddy, and to every one who has helped me to progress in the understanding of this healing truth.—(Mrs.) Edna Boykin Dixon, Chicago, Ill.
