For some time I have wished to express my gratitude for physical healing through Christian Science. I was sick in bed with what is called nerve exhaustion, from which I had suffered for many years, the doctors saying it had been brought on through suffering from asthma. A friend asked me why I did not try Christian Science, and I said I would, so she sent a Scientist to see me. That was in March, 1915. I was very skeptical, but while she was talking with me I went to sleep. When I awakened I drank a full glass of water, which previously I had been unable even to sip without nauseation. I was healed, but did not know it then. Asthma, heart failure, liver complaint, stomach trouble, bowel disorder, rheumatism, serious nervous headaches, neuralgia, have all been overcome. Still I have much work to subdue a stubborn will.

To say I am grateful for my healing is to express my feeling mildly. I am also grateful for our periodicals, for membership in the local society and in The Mother Church, for the privilege of being a teacher in the Sunday school, and for being able to demonstrate a little of the understanding which has come to me through the study of the Bible together with Science and Health. For all these things I thank God and wait as patiently as I can for more understanding, that I may bring the truth to suffering humanity as Jesus has taught us to do.—(Mrs.) Vina Listul, Ashland, Wis.
