As is recalled by many, the last line given to us by our dear Leader was, "God is my Life" (The Life of Mary Baker Eddy, p. 399). Several months after this line was given to us, I was suddenly overtaken with a fainting spell, and just before losing consciousness, as though clearly spoken by some one, came distinctly the words, "God is my Life." This was about midnight. Between two and three o'clock in the morning I again became conscious, and found that in fainting I had fallen against a highly heated radiator, and my face, neck, and hands had been terribly burned. It was learned the next morning that the engineer of the hotel where I lived had let the fire go down a short time before I came to. I am grateful to say that during or after the above experience, there was not a particle of pain, nor were any marks or scars left, though it was about five weeks before the healing was complete. No doubt had I not had this "life line," "God is my Life," to hold to, I should not have regained consciousness.

This experience proved to me that we are always the beneficiaries when obedient to the teachings of our revered Leader. I am most grateful for Christian Science.
