I rejoice every day in an increasing measure of freedom, physical and mental. It has been proved to me, absolutely, that when applied according to the teaching of our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, Christian Science is an unfailing remedy for every form of error. While sojourning in Riverside, California, in 1912, during an hour of great darkness, sorrow, and distress, I turned to it as a last resort, not caring what the result might be, as the physicians had told me I could only be made comfortable; but the dawn of a better day came through the faithful assistance of a loving practitioner, proving God's allness.

For years I had been under the constant care of physicians, who could only give me temporary relief; for change of climate and all material means were useless. A severe operation was performed, but after a year and a half a state of semi-invalidism still remained. I again returned to my daily vocation, but it was a severe trial, owing to extreme nervousness, sleeplessness, bowel trouble which had bound me from childhood, and other ills. The bowel disorder was overcome in eight days through Christian Science treatment, and during this period no fear was manifested. This was a wonderful demonstration, as physicians claimed the bowels were paralyzed. Drugs, to which I had been a slave, were given up, and I am now free from the bondage of mental and physical ills. Fear held me so tenaciously I was afraid to cross the streets of our cities, but this has all vanished since I have learned that God, being omnipresent, guides and protects, governing this universe and His children.

Each day brings to me joy, gladness, and peace through the study of our textbook together with the Bible. God has proved a very present help in time of trouble, our refuge and strength, a guide in every affair of life.
