Funds of The Mother Church
War Relief and Camp Welfare
"Inclosed find check for ten dollars to be added to your War Relief fund. I wish to express my appreciation of the work you are doing and to thank you for the opportunity it affords of expressing my gratitude."
"I send this mite ($25.00) with deep gratitude for all the blessings which have come to me through Christian Science, and I trust since it is an offering of love it will help alleviate the suffering of some war stricken one."
"Please find check for twenty dollars inclosed as an expression of gratitude for what Christian Science has done and is doing for us and the world. We are indeed grateful that a channel has been provided wherein one can contribute to the war relief through avenues where it will do the greatest and most good, where a contribution to war relief is also a contribution to Principle in the fullest sense of the word."
"Find inclosed postal money order for ten dollars to be used for Christian Science Camp Welfare fund. This is sent in appreciation of the help our boy received while stationed at Mineola, and also in gratitude for his being one of the survivors of the 'Tuscania.' "
Real Estate
"An article in the Sentinel prompted me to turn the searchlight of spiritual understanding upon my own consciousness, to see what I have 'in the house.' As the result of this illumination, I am sending the inclosed check for twenty-five dollars to be applied to the Real Estate fund of The Mother Church. With heartfelt gratitude for these 'channels for the streams of Love' ..."
"A year ago my wife and I pledged five dollars a month to the Looking Forward funds, The Christian Science Benevolent Association and the Real Estate funds. I am inclosing herewith check for thirty dollars which will cover our subscription from December, 1, 1917, to June 1, 1918."
"Inclosed please find check for three dollars, which please apply to The Christian Science Benevolent Association fund and to the Real Estate fund. We rejoice in the privilege of contributing to both these worthy causes."
Christian Science Benevolent Association
"Inclosed please find check for one hundred dollars which our Association wishes to give to The Christian Science Benevolent Association fund. We believe that there is a necessity for completing this fund, that the institution may be in an immediate position to do its part in the War Relief work which the Christian Scientist alone, is privileged to understand and demonstrate."
