It is a joy and a privilege to bear witness to the healing...

It is a joy and a privilege to bear witness to the healing power of Christian Science revealed to suffering humanity by our Leader, Mrs. Eddy. Severe headaches and chronic sore throat, which had troubled me since childhood, were overcome through this saving truth, also liver trouble, attacks of which often lasted for days. When suffering excruciating pain from this ailment, I called a practitioner, and she said to me, "It is not true." My thought refused to accept such a statement, for to me it seemed very true, very real; nevertheless, the pain immediately left me, and I was healed in one treatment. Since that time, ten years ago, I have not had even a touch of the complaint.

For the physical healing experienced I am truly grateful, and my heart goes out in love and gratitude to our revered Leader for the Science of Christianity which she rediscovered and gave to waiting humanity. For the mental healing that has followed through the study of this teaching, I do indeed rejoice. I am glad that so-called mortal mind law is being overcome in my consciousness by a right understanding of what God is and what man is. So beautifully has God's law unfolded to me that I find myself saying, "His name shall be called Wonderful." It is this phase of healing, the correction of wrong mental concepts, that to me is the greatest blessing, and I pray that my life may attest my gratitude. I am glad that I have been forced to turn away from the expectation of a solution of my difficulties through dependence on matter, and to reach out to know more of God's law, whereby my every need has been met. On page 30 of "No and Yes" Mrs. Eddy says, "God's law is in three words, 'I am All.' " To know this in its completeness is my hope, and for such hope I do rejoice.
