I enjoy reading the testimonies of others so much that I should have sent mine long ago. I came to Christian Science for healing, having been in poor health for a number of years, and under the care of several physicians who decided that nothing but an operation would help me. They diagnosed the trouble as gallstones. In desperation I went to the Christian Science reading rooms, although I then knew nothing about the teaching, and a dear Christian Scientist there explained to me lovingly about a God I had never known—one whose power destroys sickness, sin, or death. I had thought I must be patient under afflictions because for some good reason God sent them.

I asked for treatment and slept that night as I had not for years, and in the morning found myself healed of a minor ailment which has never returned. That was ten years ago. The main trouble yielded slowly, but I know that had I been suddenly healed of everything I might never have looked into Christian Science to find the truth. Every discordant condition has not been overcome, but I know that, with God's help, as I gain more understanding of the truth error will disappear.

I am more than grateful to our heavenly Father for the many blessings which have come to me and mine through Christian Science, and to our dear Leader who so lovingly gave us this revelation of Truth.
