Words fail to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. Toward the end of 1916 I had what would be termed blood poisoning in my right hand. For several days the pain was so intense that I called for Christian Science help, which was lovingly given for three days. Being only a beginner in the study of this healing truth I was then influenced to have the wound opened, and the practitioner's treatments were discontinued. The following day the hand began to swell, and was so painful that I again decided to call the practitioner. The effect of the poisoning seemed to reach above the elbow and affected the whole right side of the body, causing such suffering that at times the thought of passing on was with me. For a few days this condition remained unchanged, but the tenth day the crisis came, after which I was gradually relieved, and in three weeks was entirely healed, so that I was able to attend to all my home duties.

A beautiful healing came to our daughter also. A growth appeared on her temple, but after two treatments in Christian Science it disappeared. Before coming into this blessed truth I thought it necessary to put flannel chest protectors on my children and dose them with medicine when there was any indication of colds, but those and many similar beliefs are things of the past, and I no longer resort to material means.

These demonstrations have proven to me the allness of God's power, and I am indeed thankful to Him who healeth all our diseases. I am also grateful to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, through whose discovery humanity is freed from sin and suffering.
