Funds of The Mother Church
"Inclosed please find one New York draft for seventy-five dollars to be applied to the Halifax Relief fund, the War Relief fund, and the Real Estate fund. This is a message of gratitude from the little band of Christian Scientists in Havana, Cuba."
"We are told by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, in Miscellany (p. 260), 'The basis of Christmas is love loving its enemies, returning good for evil, love that "suffereth long, and is kind."'
"We, as a small gathering of Christian Scientists, felt this love and are sending as an expression of our love a check for thirty-three dollars to the War Relief fund. We rejoice that the Christian Science War Relief committee has made it possible for us to express our gratitude."
