That material, human laws are rendered null and void by the laws of God has been proved to me. My six-year-old boy one Thursday began to vomit and to complain of headache. I read to him from Science and Health, but the following morning his whole body, with the exception of the face, was covered with red spots, and at night he had high fever and was delirious. When my husband saw him he said it seemed like scarlet fever, so I telephoned to a Christian Science practitioner, who took up treatment at once. When on Friday the boy began to complain of his throat and could no longer swallow, I became very fearful. I therefore called upon the practitioner, who told me that I should not watch the boy's body, but place him entirely under God's care, under the care of infinite Love, who was able to do more for him than I. This I promised to do, and my fear was gone. My son then improved visibly. He began to eat a little and was up and playing part of the day. By Monday nearly all signs of the illness had disappeared. My little girl, aged nine, was in no wise affected, although she and the boy were always together.

My husband, too, has been helped wonderfully in Christian Science, and these facts prove that with God nothing is impossible. For these and many other demonstrations, also for the understanding of the truth that I have gained, I am very grateful to God and thank Mrs. Eddy from the bottom of my heart.—Mrs. Louise Jacob, Chicago, Ill.
