It affords me great pleasure to tell what God has done for me through Christian Science. About two years ago I was healed of rheumatism after suffering from it for several years. Often my hands and shoulders were so lame I could not dress myself; then the ailment settled in the left ankle. A cough and a throat affection were added to my burdens. I took up Christian Science as a last resort, but before seeing the practitioner I went to the physician once more to make sure that I had not neglected anything in a material way. He told me that he could do nothing for the rheumatism, but gave me a drug that would help me temporarily, although if I took too much of it I would be worse off than with the rheumatism.

I did not take the drug, but next day went to see a Christian Science practitioner. We talked about an hour and a half, and when I left she said she would do what she could for me that night. I went away disappointed, unable to see that I had gained anything from the treatment. The practitioner, however, had given me the little book "Unity of Good," which I read on reaching home, and was convinced that this was the work of God. The next morning all the pain had disappeared; the rheumatism, cough, and throat affection, all were gone. To me this healing was most wonderful. I have also been able to lay aside glasses after wearing them four years, and through the understanding gained by reading the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," have overcome many ills for myself, as well as for my son, who has had three attacks of fever.

I am most grateful for Christian Science and to Mrs. Eddy for giving this truth to the world.
