I did not come into Christian Science for physical relief, but for spiritual regeneration and for that peace which passeth understanding. I have found this teaching a wonderful comfort under all conditions, mental as well as physical. Through the understanding and application of the truth I have been healed of a malignant growth which appeared some years ago. It was seemingly harmless at first, but about three years ago it became very troublesome, causing great pain. It finally broke and became offensive in the extreme. I was able to overcome a great sense of fear by knowing that nothing is impossible with God, and after about one month's treatment the healing seemed complete. A year later the trouble reappeared, but I have been entirely healed through the realization of the truth of our Leader's statement, "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive" (Science and Health, p. 463). For this and for many other demonstrations of the power of Truth to heal, among them the overcoming of neuritis and congestion of the lungs, as well as the solving of many troublesome problems, I am grateful beyond words.
